Thailand's trade deficit slumped to USD 0.22 billion in November 2024, down from USD 2.40 billion in the same month of the previous year, as exports grew much more than imports. Exports increased 8.2% from a year earlier to USD 25.61 billion, easing sharply from the fastest pace in three months in October of 14.6%. Meanwhile, purchases rose by 0.9% to USD 25.83 billion, the sixth straight month of growth, slowing sharply from October's 15.9%, which was the strongest growth since August 2022. For the first eleven months of 2024, the trade balance recorded a deficit of USD 6.27 billion, with exports rising by 5.14%, slightly less than the 5.65% increase in imports.
