This marks the second consecutive quarter of economic expansion, as gains in November and December offset October’s slump, according to Mattias Kain Wyatt, an economist at Statistics Sweden. On an annual basis, GDP grew by 1.1%, as expected, the fastest pace since Q1 2023, and accelerating from a 0.7% rise in the previous quarter. For the full year, the Swedish economy is expected to grow by 0.6%.
